Shipping
Processing Time
The time I need to prepare a purchase for shipping is generally 2-4 days unless specified otherwise. Each order will receive a tracking number.
Multiple Separate Purchases
If you purchased multiple items, but as separate purchases to the same shipping address, I will combine them as best I can into one box to save on shipping costs and reimburse the overages.
Shipping Estimates
All of these estimates are approximations to help you better plan for your purchase and may change depending on your order. This estimate includes the label cost and packing material cost combined.
Within the US: Base price is $12.50 and will increase with the more items you add to your purchase due to weight cost and box size.
Small single-item purchase (bud vases, jewelry dishes, pipes, etc.): approximately $5-$6.00Canada: $45.00 depending on your choice of shipment. **Canada Post workers are on strike, so USPS is temporarily suspending service to Canada. I will be using UPS to send any orders to Canada.
International: Australia, Brazil, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Norway, Singapore, Spain, United Kingdom, New Zealand
Anywhere between $40-$80.00USD for the above listed international shipping destinations. These prices do not include any taxes or tariffs at customs in your country.
Shipping Outside the US
I am willing to ship anywhere the United States will allow, if you are willing to pay the costs. I cannot give estimates for any extra taxes or tariffs.
I require a phone number contact for all orders outside the United States. This is to help the delivery of your package. Please keep in mind that once your package reaches the destination country, the label cost has been used. If your package is returned back to me, a new label will have to be purchased to send it out again. I will not cover the cost to resend any packages returned to sender due to delivery failure, customs issue, or failure to pick up the package in a timely manner when it is being held.
If I do not have your country listed as an option for shipping, you can contact me at kaitlynceramics@gmail.com to discuss a shipping cost and I will add it to the list. Please be aware that some items sell out quickly and I may not be able to get to your shipping estimate in time. It is best to notify me ahead of a sale.
Customs and Import Taxes
Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I am not responsible for delays due to customs.
Why is shipping so much?
The price you pay not only covers the shipping label to your address, but also the cost of materials used to make sure your purchase of fragile one-of-a-kind ceramics makes it to you safely. I use cardboard boxes, packing peanuts, packing tape, and bubble wrap to ensure a cushion-y ride for your purchase. I am also a one-woman business. I pay full price for mailing labels and do my best to match the cost as best as I can. Shipping cost is not included in the product cost.
Estimated shipping cost overages may happen and I do reimburse excessive overages.
Eco-Friendly Materials
I am slowly transitioning to more eco-friendly packing materials, but I am not 100% yet! You may still find plastic bubble wrap or plastic packing peanuts in your order. My plan is to swap plastic wrap for thicker packing paper and the plastic nuts for the biodegradable ones. I still have a lot of the older materials that I spent money on, so I want to use those up first. I have already replaced plastic packing tape with paper tape ★
Returns/Exchanges
Returns
I will accept returns within 3 days of delivery. Customer is in charge of safely repackaging the product and paying for return shipping. Please let me know asap if you are unhappy with your purchase. No returns on international purchases.
Exchanges
I do not accept any exchanges.
Handmade Products
The products I sell are handmade and flaws are a possibility in any handmade product. Please note that I inspect each piece before posting it for sale. If there are any noticeable flaws that may affect your enjoyment of a piece, I will note it in the product description.
For the safety and prevention of cracking your porcelain or stoneware item, do not pour boiling hot water immediately into the piece. Please allow your hot water to settle before making your hot beverage to prevent cracking. Your tea or coffee will also thank you (you can absolutely burn them with your water being too hot).
My products are food safe and dishwasher safe unless marked otherwise. Refer to the item’s description for notes on hand washing (usually anything with luster or delicate pieces). Microwaving is okay for porcelain work, but I would advise against it for any of my dark brown stoneware pieces.
No price negotiations. All prices are final.
